The year 2014 was a very special year. Sport gave us an extraordinary gifts that made us feel prouder than ever to be Colombian. The Colombia soccer team managed to unite an entire country and gave us a dream. Not only it was among the top 8 teams in the world, but brought great joy to more than 48 million compatriots. Some days earlier, the rider Nairo Quintana became the best in the world with his win at the Giro d’Italia.
HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICE FAIR
“Attend, learn and make the best decision for your life”
The key objective of this fair is to teach the community about programs and advise on issues related to health and well-being of the entire family.
It has activities and free screenings, such as taking blood pressure, diabetes, mental and occupational health, nutrition and skin care, mammography, blood donation among others.
The event takes place every year in March in the facilities of the Freeport Recreation Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
CELEBRATE THE INDEPENDENCE OF CENTRAL AMERICA AND MEXICO
For the first time Central America and Mexico’s Independence will be celebrated , it will be held in the New York metropolitan area, it will on October, commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month. The Festival of independence of Central America and Mexico seeks to highlight the values and culture of our countries, reflected in the music, customs and typical food.

LATIN RACE IN NEW YORK

This new project aims to combine a sports and cultural event that brings together the Latino community in the tri-state area.
CHARACTERISTICS:
– Donate the contributions of participants to the non-profit organization ‘MY BEST DAY CAMP INC’. Which is located in Queens, NY whose service is to help children and mothers heads of household.
– It will be held in May.
– A recreational 5k circuit for walking, jogging or running.
